You got a couple of notebooks but you don't like their cover? Try out this DIY to make them look pretty and unique! You'll need: a notebook white printing paper white acrylic paint paint brushes scrapbook paper in different patterns school glue or double-sided tape scissors washi tape a heavy book (if you use school glue instead of double-sided tape) Start off by preparing your notebook - if the cover already has a colour that matches your scrapbook paper, you can leave it like that, otherwise paint your whole notebook with white acrylic paint or cover it entirely in white paper to create a nice and even base colour. Let it dry entirely if you used paint or glued the paper on with school glue. Also, whenever you glue something onto your notebook using school glue, it's best to let it dry while it's laying under a heavy book so that the cover won't roll up. A quick and easy summery dessert For two to three servings you'll need: 1lb quark (lowfat) 60ml heavy cream 2 tsp. vanilla sugar or 1 tsp. vanilla extract chocolate chips fruit Put the quark, heavy cream and the vanilla sugar / extract into a bowl and blend everything together. At this point, you can basically add everything to the mixture you'd like - lemon cest, more vanilla, more sugar, milk to make it smoother, chocolate chips or whatever comes to your mind. Divide the mixture into two or three equal parts (depending on if you want to get two or three servings out of it), and put each part into a dessert bowl or dessert glass. Top it with fruit of your choice and decorate it with chocolate chips. Easy and quick to make, no baking required. How to make your own plush keyring pendant You'll need: black, orange and white felt a sewing needle black, white (and orange) yarn a pencil (to draw the pattern onto the felt) scissors a keyring fiberfill ribbon First, print out the pattern (it's at the bottom of this page), cut the pieces out and trace them onto the felt. Cut out the felt pieces and arrange them. Then, going from detail to general, attach the parts to each other. I started by sewing the eyes and beak to the white belly / face part, then went onto loosely attaching the flippers, feet and ribbon to the black back. After that part, I sew the white belly part to the black one and then started to sew the front and the back of the penguin together. When I was almost done with that, I stuffed the penguin with fiberfill and finished sewing it together.
